Best Investment for Off-Grid Living

My family and I have been using the Sun-Mar Centrex 2000 NE Composting Toilet for the past year, and it has been a game changer for our off-grid lifestyle. It's easy to install and operate, odorless and hygienic. Plus, the compost produced is great for our vegetable garden. Highly recommend!

Highly Recommend for Sustainable Living

The Sun-Mar Centrex 2000 NE Composting Toilet is amazing! It's easy to use, odorless, and produces compost for our garden. We've even noticed a reduction in our water bill. A must-have for anyone looking to live a more sustainable lifestyle.

Great Solution for Small Spaces

We have limited space in our home, and the compact design of the Sun-Mar Centrex 2000 NE Composting Toilet was perfect for our needs. Installation was easy, and it's a low maintenance system. The only downside is that it does require a bit of extra work to maintain the compost.

Love it!

We've had an 2000NE in our summer home for four years now (it's on an isolated island in the north). We---especially my wife and grandchildren---love having just a small odour-free toilet in the interior washroom. Of course the stinky old outhouse is long-forgotten. The installation was somewhat complex---(a) pouring a levelling concrete pad under the house, (b) running a 4" vent up through two floors and the roof, (c) creating an evaporating mound for the French drain, and (d) running a water line---but well worth it. It certainly was easier than building a new outhouse and pit. When the septic system on our southern acreage eventually fails we'll be replacing it with a Centrex unit.

The only way to go!

The Sunmar 2000. Is the perfect alternative to the 25000 dollar septic system! I just purchased my 2nd unit. The first 1 lasted 15 years. The new unit is slightly different from my original but the improvements are very welcome. I highly recommend this to anyone.

Perfect for Our Large Family

We have a big family, so being able to use multiple toilets with the Centrex 2000 NE system is a huge plus. It's a bit of a learning curve, but the results are great. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it does require some extra work to maintain the compost.

Great follow through...

While it did take a long time to arrive (supply issues) Teresa kept us updated constantly. Our Sun-Mar Centrex 2000 NE arrive in good condition, just in time to install in our newly built home!

Sun-Mar composting toilets

We have had one at our cabin since 2002. To keep it working properly, you need to add bulking mix and a microbe mix to aid composting. Sun-Mar says you must use their products but they are hard to find and then you will have to have them sent to you from a dealer somewhere--not available in our city. I do not understand why they think composting enzymes for another brand of composting toilet will not work just as well. The composter works well but getting the additives is a real pain--and extra cost!

Environmentally friendly & cost effective

We bought ours almost 25 years ago now thinking about replacing it! And yes you can use composted human waste in your garden! We have a cabin in the woods on an island in northern Ontario it’s been perfect and way better than paying $20000 for someone to bulldoze trees and rocks to create a septic field!
