Don't leave home without it!
We have used this portable toilet for many years while canoe tripping with a group of eight adults. Rather than use plastic bags we make cylinders out of heavy-duty leaf bags. We dig a cat hole and suspend the paper cylinder from the seat just like you would if using the plastic bags. When we leave the site we simply detach the paper cylinder, tamp it in the hole with a small shovel and cover it with the dirt we removed when digging the cat hole. It is sturdy and works great for this application ..
Awesome design
I took this out when I went camping with my children that are 5 and below. This was an amazing sh hi t for them. Adult wise I think it's okay. But if you have kids that take a lot of s hi t then this is perfect because the thing is small and is practically easy as pie to store. At one point the toilet got knocked over but the design keep the sh i t from pouring out. If it had been a bucket we whould have a big problem on our hands and feer. People complaining about the feet being hard to put down are sissy boys... Bata males if you would. I stand behind this product 100%
Terrible
Purchased this for a fishing trip so that we wouldn't leave a mess on the property we were staying on. Haven't even made it to the trip yet but I wanted to open it up see how it worked. So opened it up, sat on it to make sure it could take weight. 300lbs limit only 200lbs. Very unstable and very easy for it to tip over. As well went to put it away and it won't shut. The legs will no longer collapse. Takes up way to much space. No way to get them shut as the cheap plastic that locks it breaks when you try to close it. What a waist of money. The bucket is such a better method. I will be contacting customer service to try and return as I don't even want to attempt to use this.
Sturdy and quite helpful
After reading the other reviews I was worried this would not hold me, but despite being over 200 lbs and 6' tall the "test run" worked very well. It's low, yes, but it was no problem to sit down and get up again. I used a few paper towels in the bottom of a Glad "tall" easy tie kitchen garbage bag. 23.5"x27.5". The bag worked very well (it's quite long, could have been a bit shorter and worked too) and is much cheaper than the special gel bags. I am going to use this on my RV/Minivan Tour especi...

I am going to use this on my RV/Minivan Tour especially at night and in remote locations. Instead of gel I will use a scoop of cat litter or wood shavings to contain the mess. One star off because the mechanism to fold the legs is prone to break. All plastic and a bit tricky to fold back together. Depending on my space situation I may not bother folding it up. But then again... that was one of the selling points.
