Will only use again if absolutely dire
I tried my hardest to convince the customer to go with a real toilet and crock for their new basement bathroom, to no avail. PROS-no vent required for toilet only, BUT if you add a sink, that still needs vented and there's better options out there for vented pumps if you have to run a vent anyway... The cost is cheaper then busting concrete, crock, pump, and standard toilet. CONS- if you add a sink, it still needs vent... Takes a couple flushes to move the big stuff out of the bowl, even #1 take...

Takes a couple flushes to move the big stuff out of the bowl, even #1 takes 2 flushes to clear up the yellow. The fill tube came disconnected from fqctory or shipping and when we first ran it, water shot out everywhere behind the toilet. Probably won't get this again unless a customer is super cheap or there physically is not better way to get a toilet and/or sink installed.
Broken toilet after 1 year
After several months it started to have problems (continually flushing, not operating). I was then "offered" that I myself dismantle a used toilet to find a part inside that could be sent back to them and they would send a replacement part. Nobody wants to spend 1000$ to get the pleasure of dismantling and posting used toilet parts 1 year later. My plumbing friend actually laughed at how bizarre and disgusting that request was to make of someone not a plumber. At the 2 year mark now the toilet is completely broken. For a year we have had to plug and unplug the toilet every time we wanted to use the toilet (imagine having to explain that each time to new house guests). So we have to buy a completely new unit.
WORTH EVERY STAR>
I had a Saniflo installed in the utility room many years when the children were younger, and what a boon it was. In from a muddy field, do the business, boots back on, and out again. Got rid of it when all had left home, but recently thought about installing another. When I saw the Sanicompact, I thought that's the one, but still surprised at how little space it takes up, and how much quieter than the original. 10 out of 10 !!!

I bought two units for separate residences on the recommendation of my neighbour. A few months after my purchases, his SaniCompact stopped working after about 26 months- just outside the warranty period. Cost to repair $385. 1st unit: Saniflo3 professionally installed 2.5 years ago with a three year warranty. Macerator stopped working on the weekend rendering our second 3 piece bath unusable. I emailed saniflo immediately- We'll see how responsive and effective their customer service turns out...

Macerator Pump sounds like it is running but does not evacuate the bowl contents. This happened two weeks ago and we put off investigating as we are in the middle of a significant home reno and have a full primary bath. Failure of the first unit yesterday has renewed my interest. $1800 + 700 installation for two non- functioning toilets is entirely unreasonable and I believe more than coincidental. Will update this review once I hear from saniflo.
