I installed the Essence Elongated toilet this past weekend. I can tell you that from an appearance perspective the unit is asthetically pleasing, modern and should remain relevant for the next 10 years or so. Most new toilet design utlize a full flush and eco flush option but what separates this unit is the fingtip flush control. With just light pressure you get a eco flush and a full push give you a full flush. The flush is powerful and gives me the feeling that I won't experience any clogs in the near future. The softclose seat works flawlessly and should be the standard for every new toilet created. I have only cleaned the toilet once since installing it but the InfiaBright coating works like a good non-stick pan as nothing seems to stick. Lastly, my most favorite option is that it has not crevices to catch dirt as the base is completely smooth. All in All I'm very satisfied with this unit, the way it looks and functions. Let me start off by saying this is a clean and easy toilet to use. The insulation process for a do-it-yourselfer was difficult though. Installing the bolts to the floor of the toilet was time consuming and took longer than it should. Also one of the pieces on the flapper was broken which caused me go out to buy a replacement part. I don't know if it was my fault or using plastic instead of metal or sturdier materials that caused it to break. Otherwise the toilet's flushing pressure is far superior to my prior toilet. The design of the base makes it super easy to clean. The toilet itself I would like to highly recommend but the insulation was . First of all, let me say that I do like the Essence toilet. The easy to clean concealed trap base is just that and much appreciated. The flush is very strong and fills quickly. The height is nice, especially for my mother in law who now finds it easier to get up when finished. However, if it were any higher, it would be too much a our feet almost dangle when seated. Now all of that being said, it was an absolute bear to install. The access for the flange bolts really needs to be bigger, and it's very difficult to make the connections for the water supply. I had to reattach the bowl to the floor three times for multiple reasons, and each time I had to lay on the floor and slowly wrench by 1/4 turns to tighten it down. A one hour install turned into an all day affair. The only other thing is if you made a compatible bidet seat, I would use it instead of my (other brand) bidet.  Read Less

It is so easy to keep clean and I like that the soft close seat comes off for even easier cleaning. This was sent to me to try out. I really wasn't planning on replacing a toilet, but just before receiving this one, I had one that started to leak so this was quite fortuitous.
