Eurocube Two-Piece Elongated Dual Flush Toilet

First off I was excited when I saw the toilet. It looks elegant and is not quite like anything I've seen on the market. The toilet was heavier than I expected but it came well packaged and there was no damage to the product. The bottom half is about 100 lbs and the top half is about 30 lbs. I've replaced a number of toilets in the past so I figured this would not be an issue. However I did read the instructions which looked simple enough on paper but I found misleading due to my experience in installing the toilet. A job which should have only take me 30 minutes at most ended up taking over 2 hours over 2 days due to the quirks of the design. I ended up having to remove the etarge that was over the toilet area to get better access. Attaching the bolts for the bottom half was difficult as the openings are tiny and it was not easy to get my hand in to tighten the nuts. I made sure to only tighten the bottom nuts by hand as it will be difficult for whomever wants to remove the toilet in the future. However the biggest gripe I have is there is very little room behind the toilet to reach one's hand to connect the water and tighten the nuts to connect the top and bottom halves. The design needs to allow more room to access the back of the toilet. But after the install, the toilet looks great and more importantly it functions well. One flush is all it takes unlike the previous toilet which this replaced.  Read Less

I received this via fedex ground in 2 boxes with a total weight of about 125 pounds. Both were extremely well packaged and damage free. Replaced the toilet in my upstairs bath. Word of advice is get help to move as it is very heavy and bulky. I went through directions and checked contents. I was surprised to see that there was no wax ring included. Make sure you are aware.of this before beginning installation. The existing installation is in an alcove which made this toilet a tougher install than i was expecting . After placing wax ring and adding painters tap on floor and toilet to aid in lining up on flange bolts i placed the bowl. It took a while to figure out how to get nuts and washers installed. The holes in side of tank didnt allow my hands to reach the bolts and i finally ended up laying on the floor and reaching thru the back of the toilet to get them installed. Tank and supply install was okay,no real problems. Unit is beautifully made and instructions are very good. Seat is a slow self closing unit and has a unique install method ,at least to me, using expanding rubber plugs. Now for most important part of review,wife loves it !!! Its very modern in appearance and porcelain is beautiful. Just remember it is heavier than you thought and check instructions before starting.  Read Less

After my tenant moved from my garage upstairs apartment, I looked into a few ways to upgrade my rental apartment. The bathroom had Mediterranean accents in tile and paint color but the toilet was traditional American. I saw a Grone Eurocube Elongated Toilet and new right way that this toilet will add a further Mediterranean look to the bathroom. Upon receipt of the toilet, I was impressed with the protective packaging. Unpacking the toilet components, I noticed that all the parts in the tank were already installed. Other toilets I purchased, I had to assemble all the components. Installation pf the Grone toilet was a breeze. The elongated and rectangular design of the base made leveling the it very easy. You will need a small ratchet to access the mounting bolts. The slow closing seat cover is a nice touch. Installation took just over an hour and as you can see in the pictures, the Grone toilet provides the Mediterranean accent I was looking for. I would recommend this toilet to anyone wishing to upgrade the look of their bathroom.  Read Less
