The American Standard Rumson Model is a Two-Piece Chair Height High Efficiency Toilet (HET), Elongated Toilet. It uses a Three-inch Flush Valve, and Two-inch trap way, to achieve a quick and quiet flush, using Only 1.28 Gallons in a Single Flush using Siphonic Jet operation. The White Vitreous China Finish has American Standards "EverClean" Technology, to inhibit bacteria, mold and mildew., and "PowerWash®" rim clean system to wash the Bowl with each flush. This Toilet has an attractive Look, and Design, and has a Chrome finish trip lever. It has a Standard 12-inch plumbing rough in for floor mount installation. The Overall Height from Floor to Top of Tank Lid is 30 5/8 Inches, Floor to Top of the Bowl is 16 1/2 inches. Overall Depth is 30 1/4 inches, and 18 inches Wide. The Complete toilet comes well packaged, with all hardware needed, and includes wax ring, bolts, and a White slow-close seat. The manual is well written, and in the event the water line needs replacing, be sure to pick one up as it is the only thing not included. The box weighs close to 95 pounds, the separate Two-Piece Components will make it easier to manage for installation. My observations upon closer inspection on the Toilet I received, discovered no glazing on the rim holes, and some rough spots in the Vitreous China Glazing for the 2" trap way when rubbing fingers in the recess, and the Tank Lid fitment allows the lid to have excess movement. With that exception, this Toilet Package allows for a Pleasing Look, and Quick and Complete installation.
Great stylish toilet
Purchased this toilet for my condo since it's water-sense certified and stylish. I did my research and found American Standard toilets were less clogging than other brands so I'm thrilled to have Purchased this one. It wasn't hard to install and I love the elongated seat. The toilet isn't huge but gives enough space for a small bathroom. But my favorite thing is the height. It's a taller toilet and makes sitting and standing much easier.
Easy install, good flush, no leaks
Purchased 2 American standard rumson toilets, I replaced both of my old ones this morning in 1hr of time. The actual install was probably 15mins. Easy. No leaks on either toilet, they were both level/no rocking at all. No adjustment tightening needed, it went perfectly. As for the flush it's still the first 24hrs of install but both toilets flush pretty strong. The ONLY issue I had at all was one of the bolt holes had excess glaze in it that I had to tap out. Look nice. Function well. Recommend!
Great Design Style
I must just purchased the Rumson. Would like to replace toilet seat for a more comfortable seat. Would this be possible? Other than that I love the toilet. Unable to add my great photo.
